Lawyer Ethics and Social Media:
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Brief Course Description:
Everyone has heard of social media, and many lawyers are using it. As this medium evolves, sticky ethical issues can ensue. In this course, we’ll examine the key ethical dilemmas faced by certain behaviors on social media. We’ll provide tools for attendees to help them avoid these pitfalls and use social media ethically to serve their clients and grow professionally.

Kendra Brodin, MSW, JD, is a consultant and trainer dedicated to the personal and professional development of attorneys. With a powerful background as a social worker and lawyer, Kendra supports attorneys as they become better lawyers and lead happier, more meaningful lives. She is an avid user and trainer of social media, and she has thousands of contacts through media such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Kendra provides group and private coaching to individuals and law firms, as well as teaches a variety of Continuing Legal Education courses on professional development, elimination of bias, and ethics.  
Kendra holds three degrees with honors, including a Masters of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and a Law Degree from the University of Minnesota School of Law. Kendra is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, serving as Co-Chair of its Life & the Law Committee and member of its Women in the Legal Profession Committee. She is also a member of Minnesota Women Lawyers (and its Core Competencies Subcommittee) and the Ramsey County Bar Association.
